• DSISD's 2018 Proposition A Will Begin "Path 2," which Will Irrevocably Reshape Our District's Future

Not Familiar with "Path 2"? We weren't either!

That's Why We are Insisting on More Honesty and Transparency from Our School Board and School Administrators! DSISD Parents, Voters, and Taxpayers Deserve Nothing Less!

Learn about "Path 2" from DSISD Superintendent Bruce Gearing. "Path 2" begins at 2:48 in video:

  • 2022 Update: The Path 2 Video Above Appears to Have Disappeared from the Interwebs, So Screenshots Are Below!

FYI: Path 2 Extra Costs Communication from a Public Information Request, but Not from the Path 2 Video

Taxpayers have already incurred $9 million in additional debt (principal only) cost for a plan that was unworkable less than TWO YEARS after being created!

  • And in March 2019, We Learned from DSISD’s Demographers That Path 2 Accounted for Far Too Few Students/Too Little Growth! Yet It’s October 2022, and DSISD Still Lacks a New Long-Term Facilities Plan!

    • For starters, DSISD will need THREE High Schools if constructing them at 2,500 students with just ONE constructed.
    • And then SEVEN middle schools at 850 students, or FIVE middle schools at 1,200 with just ONE constructed.
    • And then THIRTEEN Elementary Schools at 850 students with just FIVE constructed.
    • With all being ODD NUMBERS and as the Path 2 presentation above details, DSISD's current school sizes will result in split feeder patterns—children from same elementary schools may go to different middle schools and children from same middle schools may go to different high schools!
THIS IS WHY DSISD NEEDS A NEW LONG-TERM FACILITIES PLAN BEFORE BUILDING ANY MORE SCHOOLS!
